I mentioned in my previous post that I'm heading to Clemmons this weekend for our first baby shower. The West Girls are throwing Anderson a shower and I couldn't be more grateful for their love and friendship. I am secretly more excited about meeting Gus for the first time though.
One of my best friends, Megan, had her sweet son a little over 6 weeks early. While we were at the doctor's office finding out the sex of Anderson, I got a text from Meg saying that her water broke. I thought it was a joke a first and then quickly realized she was serious. After 28+ hours of labor, Meg delivered a less than 5 lb bundle of joy.
We headed to Clemmons that weekend and visited Meg & Scott in the hospital. I have never seen anyone look that amazing after giving birth and have the best attitude while their son was laying in the NICU.
Gus went through some really scary times in the NICU but continued to be a fighter. After 6.5 weeks in the NICU, Meg and Scott got to bring their son home the day before Easter.Meg handled those 6.5 weeks with strength, grace and pure faith. Gus has one amazing mom and I can't wait to watch him grow up adoring his momma. I am counting down the days until I get to squeeze that precious little boy.
