The Big 3

We are heading to Murfreesboro tomorrow for Nate's 3rd birthday party!! I cannot believe he will be 3 years old. Could someone tell him to STOP growing up so fast...please. We are excited to play with all of Nate's friends and hang out with family for a few hours. Its so nice to be able to make a day trip since they are only 2 hours away from us...guess that is a perk of living in TN.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY little nugget! Love you

The Early Wedding

Jay & Erin tied the knot on Saturday night and it was perfect! Erin looked stunning and I have never seen Jay look so happy. I have to say that Mike was a good looking groomsmen but I'm ready to see him as a groom. We had a BALL catching up with friends, dancing, drinking and watching Jay revert back to his college days and do a keg stand. We couldn't be happier for the new couple...we are only slightly jealous that the Early's are in wine country right now! :)
Congrats Mr. & Mrs. Early
I do not approve of the groomsmen destroying Jay's car. I didn't even take pictures of the inside...even worse. Don't worry dad...our cars will be no where near the church OR reception!

Old Man

Guess who turns the BIG 2-9 today...MIKE!!! Yes, I'm marrying an older man and I love it!
He is home from Knoxville for the weekend so we are going to take advantage of the beautiful weather! His birthday wish list includes playing tennis, going for a run together, some pool time and then family dinner tonight...sounds like a great plan to me!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIKE...I have a feeling this is going to be your best year yet! Love you Pookie

Moving

We moved and are still alive to talk about it! A little over 2 weeks ago, I watched the movers pack up ALL of our stuff and load it into the big moving truck. It only took them about 8 hours and I was very impressed with how quick they worked.
After they left, I loaded a few items into the jeep and headed u
p to Knoxville. A day later, the movers arrived and the unloading began. Mike & I spend the entire 3 days unloading all the boxes and trying to find a place for everything. The movers used more paper than I ever imagined. Since we are planning to buy a house in a few months, Mike decided it would be a good idea to keep all the paper and boxes. Sounded like a good idea at the time, but not when you had to FOLD all the paper!!! Thankfully our attic is huge and we were able to put all the boxes, paper and a ton of other stuff in it.It was fun to find a home for everything and start making the house "our home"...only if it is for a few months.
I even got to use our new washer and dryer! We have had it for about 2 months but haven't been up there to use it. Thanks mom & dad :)

On another note-Things are going well at Kelly & Robby's house...they haven't evicted me yet!! ONLY 31 MORE DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lauren's Bridal Luncheon

Two weeks ago, Mike and I headed down to Wilmington to watch these 2 get married! We had such a great time hanging out with so many of our friends and watching Kyle & Lauren tie the knot.
Friday afternoon, I headed to Lauren's bridal luncheon at one of the CUTEST places. Its called The Wilmington Tea Room and you have to check it out if you are downtown. It's a small restaurant right on the river with any tea you could ever want, delicious food and beautiful china. I was at the best table (sorry Lauren) and was entertained by Millie & Baker the entire time. These are 2 of the sweetest, well mannered and adventurous children I have ever met. Millie will eat anything and proceeded to try everything that was put in front of her!!
We all had a great time filling our bellies and catching up on life. Lauren did a fantastic job picking out this place and made everyone feel loved!

Roomies

Looks like I'm going from 1 roommate (O'Malley) to 4 (Robby, Kelly, Fatz and Scout)!! Kessler talked Kelly into adopting one of his kittens and she is now the proud owner of Scout. I'm NOT a cat person, but I have to say that I love these 2 cats. They are both full of personality and lovable when they want to (except when Fatz gives you the crazy bobcat eye and attacks)

The only issue with the situation is...O'Malley would love to have Scout for a meal. We are trying to get them acquainted slowly but surely without any lost lives or bloodshed.
While the movers were packing ALL of our junk yesterday, I worked next door at Kelly's house. Probably not a good idea not to be there the whole time, but there wasn't really anywhere for me to go!

I hadn't heard the cats in a while so I went looking for them. This is what I found in the master bedroom...
After they decided they wanted to hang out with me, Scout was very enthralled with my computer. Not much fun when I was trying to work.
Finally they settled down again. Scout was asleep on my lap while Fatz nudged himself between me and my laptop.

They're out

We sent our invitations out over 4th of July weekend and it was such a relief! We got a bottle of wine, spread all the stuff on the table and started our night of assembling. I'm SO thankful that Mike was in town to help because it would have taken me forever.
We were so happy with how everything turned out and really appreciate our friends working so hard on our invitations.
Jennifer Borkowski Design did all of our calligraphy. She did such a great job and I HIGHLY recommend her to everyone. Seriously...check her out!
Now the fun part starts...the RSVP's!
