We can get married now

Who needs a Marriage Certificate when you have a AAA card!

My sweet dad LOVES AAA and made sure I had a membership since I was 16 years old. I have never personally had to use it (knock on wood) but almost all my friends have benefited from it.
Locking keys in the car, flat tires, dead cars, dead batteries and all the towing through the years. Thank you Daddy Gibbs for making sure me and my friends were safe.

Since I'm getting married, dad decided it was Mike's turn to take over the bill. Mike is carrying the torch and I have a new shiny gold card! Mike still hasn't warmed up to the idea of taking Gibbs as his last name. I still have 2 months to convince him :)

IM conversation

At work, we have Microsoft Office Communicator which is just like IM that we used in high school/college. Kelly & I have daily communicator conversations that are usually entertaining.

I thought this one needed to be shared...

**Let me set up the background for you. I emailed all of our family and friends last week to invite them to do a 5k with us the morning of our wedding.

Kelly:ps- Lindsay and I are doing the 5k race. damnit
Me: WOOT WOOT! It will be fun and worth your while. Is Robby going to do it?
Kelly: I haven't talked to him yet, but I'm signing him up.
Me: Poor Robby
Kelly: I'm already dreading this race. You better have something good for me to eat when I'm finally done.
Me: I'm sure dad will be the first one done and have handfuls of food and drinks waiting for us
Kelly: HAHAAAAAAAAAAAA Or we could just walk to Owen's after the race and make sure we walk 16 miles before your wedding.
Me: No, I need you to be able to walk down the aisle at 6pm
Kelly: I'll probably trip and bust my face that day, have to go to the dentist to replace my broken teeth. Then have a black eye from your elbow that hit me on the way down.
Kelly: But hey, don't worry...that's what you wanted to do on your wedding day.

I could not stop laughing! The sad thing is...something like this will probably happen and we will just have to laugh about it. Now if I'm the one to fall and loose my teeth, I won't be laughing!

We have 28+ people signed up for the race...I cannot wait!!

Family Beach Trip 2010

We had another fabulous family beach trip...I'm a little late blogging about it.
Sadly, I did not take a single picture with my camera this year. We decided to only use Em's camera and she did not disappoint with the 200+ pictures.
We have been going to our family's beach house since we were little and it holds so many memories for all of us. This year was no different and we all had a great time making more memories.

Mike & I couldn't stay the whole week but packed in lots of fun while we were there. We taught Nate how to play ladder golf and he L.O.V.E.D it, Abby waved for the first time and it was so stinkin cute, Mike & I almost getting struck by lightening (not kidding), Abby flirting with Mike, theme dinners, family runs, and watching how much Nate loves his Nana and Poppy.

Check out Em's blog for more pictures

I'm already looking forward to next years family beach trip...

Simple Living

Well, the TN house is coming along...
This past weekend, we added a camping chair to the living room. Now Mike & I can both sit in a chair :) Please notice his putter resting against the wall. Apparently Mike thinks the living room is a putting green since there is SO MUCH open space.
Don't worry- there will be furniture in the house soon enough. Our time line has been changed and the movers will be here in a few short weeks! I'll be moving out and moving in with Kel & Robby...poor Robby!

Yes, Mike is using his projector in place of a TV at the current moment.

Chucktown

I am finally recovered from a great girls weekend in Charleston!!!
There were some CRAZY stories from the weekend but I would expect nothing less...

We stayed at the Holiday Inn on Folly Beach and I would not recommend to anyone else. The lobby/restaurant/bar were AMAZING and a huge tease. Unfortunately, half the group got there early and had to experience the horrific room (aka murder scene). Well this didn't fly so the hotel quicklymoved us to the only 2 rooms in the hotel that have been upgraded. It ended up working out and we had connecting rooms which was perfect.

The weather was beautiful and we spent our time soaking up as much sun on the beach as possible. We stayed around Folly Beach Friday night and rested up for a "crazy" night on Saturday.
After all day on the beach, we headed out for an amazing dinner at Wasabi then hit the town. We experienced a few different places and they were all so fun. I even got to hang out with BFF since she was in town for her bachelorette party!

After a wild night, we finally got to bed after 4am! Don't worry, my body OF COURSE doesn't know how to sleep in and was up and ready to go at 7:30am...boo!

It was a fun weekend filled with laughter and fun stories...

Sunday was rough
